B. Riley Creates New Corporate Finance Position

B. Riley Financial Inc. (RILY) has promoted Perry Mandarino to the new position of senior managing director and head of corporate finance. The Woodland Hills investment company said that in his new job, Mandarino will be responsible for investment banking, restructuring and general corporate finance activity at B. Riley & Co., the broker dealer arm of the company. Mandarino joined B. Riley in February as head of corporate restructuring. He previously worked at accounting firm PwC. “Perry joined the firm earlier this year and, with the newly formed team of experienced professionals, has successfully grown the restructuring group into a vibrant practice,” Chairman Bryant Riley said in a statement. “In that time, it has become apparent that the restructuring practice complements the activity of our investment banking group and other parts of the firm, most notably asset disposition. With his expertise and background, his mandate will include the coordination of activity among several parts of our business to deliver premier services to our clients.” Shares closed unchanged at $15.25 on the Nasdaq.
