Temporary Ink Arrives

Inkbox has brought its temporary ink to Los Angeles. The company opened four retail kiosks in the area last month, including at the Glendale Galleria and Westfield Topanga.

The kiosks stock tattoos in various sizes, as well as the company’s Freehand Tattoo Marker and newly launched Nail Art Strips.

Tyler Handley, the chief executive of the Canadian-based business, said he was thrilled to not only bring the Inkbox experience to the company’s Los Angeles customers, but to also get a chance to interact with the community.

“Our products are designed to be this fun, creative process, and I think it will be great for us and our community to be able to enjoy that together while also welcoming in new people looking to express themselves,” Handley said.

Inkbox body art lasts for one to two weeks, and a tattoo costs between $9 and $29.

Since its inception in 2015, Inkbox has brought its designs to millions of people around the world, shipping tens of thousands of tattoos every week, the company said.

The kiosks will allow fans to further the experience of curating their own looks, celebrating their individuality, test-driving tattoos, and bringing to life their own creative expression, the release added.

The company also operates kiosks at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, the Brea Mall, and at select Walmart and Urban Outfitter locations in the Los Angeles area, including the Urban Outfitters store in Studio City.

In January of last year, Inkbox was acquired by Paris-based Société Bic S.A., which produces lighters, pens and razors, among other products.
