NetSol Technologies Inc. has opened a new support and delivery center in Austin to help in growing the company’s North American business.
Najeeb Ghauri, the founder and chief executive of the Calabasas-based software developer for vehicle and equipment leasing markets, said that the new location will complement the San Fernando Valley location and enables it to offer enhanced support to the firm’s growing customer base in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
“North America is an important growth market for us, and we are strategically focused on increasing our presence and reach in this region,” Ghauri said in a statement.
The new facility will initially serve as NetSol’s proximity delivery and customer support center for its tier one auto and equipment finance clients.
Peter Minshall, executive vice president and head of NetSol Technologies Americas, said that Austin will house both the company’s seasoned auto fintech professionals as well as new hires to provide delivery and project management oversight.
“Austin is an ideal location as a leading technology hub in North America, to source and attract the talent we need,” Minshall said in a statement. “Key resources who have been managing U.S. customers in other countries will also relocate to Austin.”
The announcement of the Austin facility was made on Thursday. On Friday, shares in NetSol (NTWK) closed down 1 cent, or a fraction of a percent, to $3.08 on the Nasdaq, on a day when that market closed down a fraction of a percent.
