Industrial Metal Supply Opens Seventh Warehouse Location

Industrial Metal Supply Co. has opened a new store in San Jose, its seventh warehouse location.

The Sun Valley metals distributor recently acquired the former Campbell Metal Supply building at 569 Charcot Ave. in the Bay area city.

Neil Sherman, the chief executive of Industrial Metal, said that the fully stocked San Jose store allows the company to expand its same-day products for manufacturers and individuals in the Bay area.

“We’re proud to offer our unique metal buying experience for all people and businesses alike, whether they’re looking for large or small quantities or the hands-on personalized service IMS guarantees,” Sherman said in a statement.

The San Jose location stocks steel, aluminum, copper and brass to hard-to-find items, including tool steel, welded wire sheets, lead casters and welding rods. It will also stock thousands of metal accessories.

“This acquisition has been on our radar for some time as the location allows us to bring our ‘metal made easy’ capabilities to a new region of California,” Sherman added in the statement. “IMS understands the high-quality demands of many of the area’s most discerning businesses and industries and is proud to provide materials that meet or exceed that standard bringing faster service and greater accessibility.”

In addition to stores in the east San Fernando Valley and San Jose, Industrial Metal also has locations in Riverside, Irvine, San Diego, Phoenix and Tucson. The company has been in business since 1948.
