Jane Skeeter, a longtime San Fernando Valley business owner and community volunteer, was given the Fernando Award Friday evening.
The Fernando is the Valley’s highest award for volunteerism. The black-tie dinner Friday evening at the Skirball Center was attended by about 200 business and civic leaders.

Other finalists for the award: Steve Fazio, the president and owner of Fazio Cleaners and Laundry; Kathleen Sterling, the publisher of the Valley News Group; Kevin Tamaki, the owner of Tamaki Consulting, and Sharon Udkoff, a certified public accountant.
