Capstone Green Energy Corp. announced last week that it had secured an order for a C600 Signature series microturbine from a producer of dairy products in Slovenia.
The project marks the first microturbine order from Pomurske Mlekarne and demonstrates the confidence that the company has in Capstone’s product reliability and high availability, according to a release from Capstone, based in Van Nuys.
The 600-kilowatt system is expected to be operating in the spring at the Murska Sobota facility of Pomurske Mlekarne.
“This recent order is another example of demand for our products and services from the commercial and industrial sector worldwide as companies seek to balance reliability, efficiency, and affordability,” Darren Jamison, chief executive of Capstone, said in a statement
The announcement from the Slovenia dairy products company was made on Dec. 21. On Tuesday, shares in Capstone (CGRN) closed down 8 cents, or about 5.7%, to $1.32 on the Nasdaq, on a day when that market closed down almost 1.4%.
