Capstone Green Energy Corp. received a follow-on order for a microturbine to be installed at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in Jamaica.
Innovative Energy Corp., the exclusive distributor in Jamaica for the Van Nuys green products manufacturer, secured the order of the C400 Signature Series microturbine.
The microturbine will be used for cooling, heat and power of the 266,000-square-foot luxury residences and hotel suites development.
Darren Jamison, chief executive of Capstone Green Energy, said the company continues to build its portfolio of customers in the high-end residential and hospitality markets as a provider of clean energy products.
“Our distinct product lines help customers across multiple industries and sectors around the world find cost-effective green energy solutions,” Jamison said in a statement.
With an anticipated commissioning date of November 2023, the new LNG-fueled system is designed to deliver 100% of the development’s common area electricity, domestic hot water and cooling needs, according to a release from Capstone.
The efficient system will be deployed in a 3-bay enclosure, allowing for future expansion, the release added.
Shares in Capstone (CGRN) closed up 8 cents, or more than 3%, to $2.42 on the Nasdaq, on a day when that market closed up at 1.4%.
