Tix Corp. is eyeing a possible sale of its poorly performing live entertainment division, the company announced. The Studio City-based entertainment company has hired B. Riley & Co. as its financial advisor to look at strategic alternatives for its live entertainment segment, which is made up of Magic Arts & Entertainment and NewSpace Entertainment. Tix Corp. gives no assurances that a sale will result of looking at alternatives. For the second quarter, the live entertainment division brought in revenues of $7.9 million, a drop of 60 percent from the $19.6 million in revenues for the same period in 2009. The company attributed the decrease to fewer show dates during the second quarter. Mark R. Madler
