A subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc. received a $9 million contract for a weapon system for U.S. Navy combat ships. The modules to be manufactured by Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. will be equipped with a 30mm gun weapon system fit on a turret provided by the Navy. The modules will be installed on ships used for operations close to shore. Teledyne Brown is a subsidiary of Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies. “This new business reflects our increasing strengths and market presence in both marine systems and precision manufacturing,” said Teledyne Chairman, President and CEO Robert Mehrabian.
