Santa Clarita Traffic Engineer Recognized for Filming Work

City of Santa Clarita Senior Traffic Engineer Gus Pivetti won a California On Location Award for his work in coordinating road closures to allow for filming of television series and movies. Pivetti won in the Public Employee of the Year – City category. Also nominated in the category was Toi Chisom, the recreation superintendent for the City of Santa Clarita. The California On Location Awards were presented Oct. 24 by the Film Liaisons in California, Statewide. Pivetti has worked for the city for seven years and among the projects he has worked on in the past year are the television series “CSI” and “NCIS,” and the feature film, “Faster.” “Working with the location scouts and the traffic control companies has always been a pleasure,” Pivetti told the crowd of several hundred at the Beverly Hilton.
