A longtime health care industry executive has been named as the new president and chief executive of identification wristband manufacturer Precision Dynamics Corp. Cecil Kost brings more than 25 years of experience of growing a wide range of health car companies. Kost replaces Gary Hutchinson, who became CEO shortly after joining the Precision Dynamic board in 2002. He will continue to serve as a director and executive advisor. Hutchinson grew San Fernando-based Precision Dynamics to become a significant presence in the patient safety sector, said Curt Selquist, chairman of the board and operating partner with Water Street, a private equity firm that invested in Precision Dynamics. “Moving forward, the company is well-positioned to expand its capabilities to have a greater impact in improving patient outcomes,” Selquist said. “Cecil’s management expertise, combined with his innovative thinking and creativity make him the ideal executive to lead PDC through its next phase of strategic growth.” Kost most recently served as president and CEO of MedManage Systems Inc., was president of e-commerce for SciQuest, Inc. and a senior executive with Curtin Matheson Scientific.
