Pratt Whitney/Rocketdyne Inc. will continue to give support to the Space Shuttle program into early next year following approval of a $60 million contract with NASA. The Canoga Park-based aerospace manufacturer built the shuttle’s three main engines. The last two shuttle launches are scheduled for Nov. 1 and Feb. 27. Both missions will go to the International Space Station. The three main liquid propellant engines have a combined thrust of more than 1.2 million pounds.
