Athletic apparel manufacturer K-Swiss Inc. widened its net loss in the second quarter when compared with the prior year. The Westlake Village-based company reported a loss of $14.5 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, on revenues of $46.8 million for the quarter ending June 30. For the same period in 2009, the company had a net loss of $11.5 million, or $0.33 per diluted share, on revenues of $54 million. The second quarter included a one-time $3.3 million charge related to the acquisition of Palladium SAS, a French sportswear company. K-Swiss also acquired during the quarter FORM Athletics for an undisclosed price. Mark R. Madler
