Event lighting and rental company Kinetic Lighting plans to relocate to Glendale from North Hollywood. The Glendale Redevelopment Agency announced that Kinetic Lighting has leased space at 722 Thompson Avenue. The company will be the newest addition to the city’s “Creative Corridor,” which already includes DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc., KABC-TV, The Walt Disney Company, Technicolor and other companies. The decision to relocate to the warehouse space in Glendale followed a long search by the company to find a building suitable to its needs. “Having outgrown our previous location, we were searching for a building that offered an additional 20,000 square feet of space, as well as improved loading docks and easy freeway access,” said Daniel Bortz, CEO of Kinetic Lighting. “We looked at numerous properties, but surprisingly, finding a new space was not an easy task.” Glendale Redevelopment Agency Chair Laura Friedman welcomed the corridor’s new addition. “I am very pleased at the growing success of the San Fernando Road Creative Corridor Project, as well as the recent relocation announcement by Technicolor’s film lab,” she said.
