Sales of products acquired by test services provider Ixia contributed to the company narrowing its net loss in the second quarter when compared to a year ago. The Calabasas-based company reported a net loss of $361,000, or $0.01 per share, on revenues of $66.1 million for the quarter ending June 30. For the same period a year ago, the company had a net loss of $2.7 million, or $0.04 per share, on revenues of $38.4 million. Ixia attributed $15.3 million in sales to products it acquired following the purchase of Catapult Communications in June 2009 and the N2X data network testing product line from Agilent Technologies in October 2009. Shares in Ixia closed up at $10.49.
