Sports equipment manufacturer Easton-Bell Sports returned to positive earnings for the 2010 fiscal year when compared to the year before. The Van Nuys-based company reported net income of $8.1 million on revenues of $772.8 million for the year. For previous year, the company had a net loss of $4 million on revenues of $716.3 million. In the 2009 fiscal year, Easton-Bell had net income of $13.4 million on revenues of $775.5 million. In the fourth quarter, the company’s sales of team sports and action sports equipment increased when compared to the fourth quarter in 2009. Contributing to the strong sales were orders for snow sports helmets and goggles, sell-through of cycling helmets, sales of baseball and softball bats and the introduction of our new line of hockey sticks.
