DataDirect Networks Named as World’s Largest Private Storage Firm

Chatsworth-based data storage company DataDirect Networks was ranked as the world’s largest private storage system company by worldwide 2009 revenues in a recent report by market intelligence company IDC. Released in December 2010, the report illustrates a changing landscape as a result of the growth of new data profiles and storage industry consolidation. According to the report, DataDirect has furthered its leadership position within the storage industry as a result of growth in demand for scalable IT infrastructures in areas such as online content and social networking providers, high performance cloud and grid computing environments, life sciences, professional media and security and intelligence organizations. “This is a tremendous validation of our decade-long commitment to helping our customers create more value out of their data and IT infrastructures,” said company CEO and Co-founder Alex Bouzari. “It is becoming increasingly important for organizations to store, process, analyze and distribute in real time the content and information which are critical to their success.”
