Brand-management and apparel licensor Cherokee, Inc. has entered into three new exclusive-license agreements that expand the markets for the Sideout label. The agreement with Van Nuys-based Cherokee gives exclusive U.S. rights for Hudson Bay Apparel Brands to market Cherokee’s men’s and young men’s woven tops, bottoms, and swimwear. In addition, BT Kids Design Group has exclusive U.S. rights to newborn and infant woven tops, bottoms and swimwear, while Getracan Inc. has the exclusive rights in Canada to market Sideout men’s, young men’s and boy’s knit and woven tops, bottoms and swimwear. The addition of Hudson Bay, BT Kids Design and Getracan brings to eight the number of companies working with Cherokee, said Jay Kester, executive vice president of marketing. “We continue to have discussions regarding the remaining open categories and hope to add additional companies to our group shortly,” Kester said.
