Cameron Sets Up 3D Shop in Burbank

Filmmaker James Cameron and cinematographer Vince Pace have started a new 3D company that is based in Burbank. Cameron-Pace Group will create the next generation of camera systems and services to grow 3D in feature films, television, sports, advertising and consumer products. The new company will build on the foundation established by Pace and his Burbank-based camera company where he co-developed the Fusion camera system with Cameron. The Cameron –Pace Group will also serve as an advocate to the entertainment industry on the full potential of 3D as a creative and powerful storytelling and live broadcast medium. Pace’s existing camera company has begin the formal rebranding process into the Cameron-Pace Group. The new company will develop new services and implement current services worldwide. The Fusion camera system has been used on “Avatar,” “TRON: Legacy,” and “Resident Evil: Afterlife.” Upcoming films include “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” Mark R.
