AEG Chief to Headline VICA Business Forecast Conference

AEG Chief Executive Tim Leiweke will headline the Valley Industry and Commerce Association’s 22nd Annual Business Forecast Conference on Oct. 28. Leiweke has served as president and CEO of the sports and entertainment company for 15 years. He was named one of the 100 most influential people in Southern California by the Los Angeles Times and as Sports Executive of the Year by the Sports Business Journal. Leiweke has acquired or merged more than 50 divisions and companies whose alliances create a global live entertainment organization that produces sports and entertainment programming. The company also owns facilities across the globe including Staples Center. “AEG’s development of Staples Center, L.A. LIVE and the surrounding area has helped revitalize downtown Los Angeles,” said VICA Chair Daymond Rice. “This company is an innovative leader—the type of organization we need to recruit and keep in the state.” This year’s theme for the VICA Business Forecast Conference is “Launching California’s New Economy.” The event will help business leaders prepare for the economic opportunities in the upcoming year and address the region’s most pressing public policy issues. “Tim Leiweke is an accomplished businessman who understands the Los Angeles market and how it fits into the global economy,” said Rice. “We are looking forward to hearing his insights at the conference.” The conference takes place at the Warner Center Marriott, 21850 Oxnard St., Woodland Hills.
