Cailan Lu is Many Mansions’ longest serving employee and has helped grow the organization from a small Thousand Oaks nonprofit with a handful of employees (less than 20), a few million dollars in total revenue, and a small real estate portfolio (around 300 units) into a strong regional nonprofit with nearly 80 employees, nearly $10 million into total annual revenue, and a real estate portfolio with over 650 units.Â
Additionally, Many Mansions is rapidly growing and thanks to Lu and her team, will more than double in size in the next five years. These accomplishments are significant and she has earned a reputation of impactful leadership thanks in large part to her tireless work to strengthen the community.
As the CFO for a large nonprofit that provides affordable housing, property management, and social services for the San Fernando Valley’s most vulnerable community members, Lu takes on a tremendous amount of responsibility. Many Mansions is getting ready to lease-up 49 apartments for homeless and disabled veterans in Sylmar and is in construction to build 26 apartment homes in Sun Valley for homeless families with a preference for families with children attending local LAUSD schools.
