Salem Media Group Inc. has tapped Triton Digital, a Sherman Oaks-based technology provider for the audio industry, to build out its podcast strategy. The two companies announced Tuesday that Salem planned to use Triton’s Tap Podcast advertising technology as part of the audio management and analytics platform of Omny Studio, an Australian firm that offers content management solutions for radio broadcasters and podcasters. Tap Podcast is integrated into Omny’s platform, enabling the technology to automatically insert and replace ads in podcasts. “Triton’s commitment to fueling the growth of the digital audio industry through innovative, intuitive solutions contributes to our success,” Rodney Whitaker, director of digital media at Salem, said in a statement. The partnership was announced Tuesday. On Wednesday, Salem stock (SALM) fell 5 cents, or less than 1 percent, to close at $5.95 on the Nasdaq.
