Salem Media Group in Camarillo has promoted Maritza Lizama, the marketing head of its health division, to general manager. Lizama has worked with Eagle Wellness, the arm of Salem that specializes in publishing health content for consumers in addition to selling nutritional supplements, since 2014. She is also co-founder and chief marketing strategist of LiMón, a bilingual marketing and communications firm based in Falls Church, Va., and has worked at the Washington Business Journal, Capital Information Group and Salem’s print publishing sector, Eagle Publishing. “One of Maritza Lizama’s key hallmarks … (is) her driven personality inspired by positive energy to make a difference,” David Evans, president of new business development at Salem, said in a prepared statement. The supplement product line has doubled since Lizama took over Eagle Wellness’ marketing efforts two-and-a-half years ago, according to the company. Salem is a radio broadcaster of Conservative and Christian content with 115 radio stations in addition to websites and book publishing operaitons. The company’s stock rose 30 cents, or 4.6 percent, on Monday to close at $6.85 on the Nasdaq.
