Salem Media Group will host a special broadcast from the White House on July 25, the company announced Wednesday. The Camarillo radio broadcaster and publisher, which specializes in Christian and conservative content, said the day’s radio broadcast theme “Made in America” will feature members of the Trump Administration as program guests on approximately 20 Salem radio shows. The day is part of a White House effort to broaden media access and bring in more local and regional media, including talk radio. Nationally syndicated radio hosts Hugh Hewitt, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Larry Elder and Eric Metaxas will be joined by 13 local hosts from Salem Media Group owned stations for a combined 36 hours of live radio programming. Callers will be able to interact with White House officials during the programs. “There is an unprecedented level of public interest in what is happening in Washington, D.C., and we are honored to be able to participate in this special broadcast day at the White House,” Salem Media Group Chief Executive Edward Atsinger said in a statement. Shares of Salem (SLM) closed up Wednesday 15 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $7.15 on the Nasdaq.
