Triton Digital has won a contract with Bloomberg Media to manage, measure and monetize its digital audio content. The Sherman Oaks company will provide streaming technology to bring financial information and news content to Bloomberg Media’s 1.3 million audio listeners in the U.S. It will also provide its advertising platform to monetize the content and measure the listening audience. Triton serves traditional, on-air broadcasters and emerging digital music providers with an array of services, including delivering streaming audio and coordinating advertising. Its software can also measure listeners in real time. Other services include email communications, games, contests and rewards programs intended to build brand loyalty with listeners. Bloomberg Media is the consumer media division of Bloomberg L.P., a privately held financial software, media and data company bases in New York. Marc Siegel, head of U.S. advertising sales for Bloomberg Media, said pairing up with Triton is part of an aggressive strategy to bring content into new markets. “Working with a market leader with a track record like Triton Digital will enable us to better serve those audiences, as well as our advertising partners that want to reach them,” Siegel said in a prepared statement.
