A subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc. received an $8 million to develop electronics devices and integrated circuits over the next two years. The circuits and devices developed by Teledyne Scientific & Imaging will be used in Department of Defense applications. Teledyne Technologies is based in Thousand Oaks. The total value of the contract is $18.8 million if Teledyne Scientific completes all phases through 2014. The contract was awarded by the Microsystems technology office of the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency. Research groups from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, University of California at Santa Barbara, University of California at San Diego and Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems will assist Teledyne Scientific.
