US Nuclear Corp. has formed a strategic alliance with Arbok Nuclear to bring to market improvements to desalination plants and rad-wastewater treatment.
The alliance of the Canoga Park-based radiation detection equipment manufacturer and Arbok makes US Nuclear a more important nuclear power plant vendor and enables the company to sell more radiation detectors, according to a release.
Through the alliance, US Nuclear will ramp up sales revenue by gaining additional exposure to the nuclear power plant market globally and by providing its radiation detectors as part of a turnkey package with Arbok Nuclear’s radiation removal and desalination technologies, US Nuclear said in the release.
Arbok Nuclear has developed technology to remove dangerous radioisotopes from nuclear power plant cooling and process water, wastewater, and other water sources, in addition to providing desalination technology which is 30% less costly and has double the output than traditional technologies, the release added.
“Arbok’s radioisotope removal and desalination technology has been tested at multiple nuclear power plants and research institutes and was determined to fully meet the requirements for use,” the US Nuclear release said.
