Ixia Net Income Drops in Q3

Net income dropped 76 percent in the third quarter for Ixia when compared with the previous year. The Calabasas-based designer and manufacturer of test performance systems reported a net income of $1.9 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, on revenues of $37.2 million for the quarter ending Sept. 30. For the same period in 2006, Ixia had a net income of $8.1 million, ore $0.12 per diluted share, on revenues of $49.7 million. Shares of Ixia closed at $9.16.
