Neoss Debuts Dental Bone Replacement

Dental solution provider Neoss Inc. recently announced the launch of NeoGenix XP, a clinically proven bone substitute that is closer to resembling natural bone than other synthetic materials.

The NeoGenix XP substitute features a carbonate apatite structure and is highly porous, both of which allow it to closely mimic natural bone mineral. It also has more space available for bone deposition, the process whereby new bone is formed.

The substitute also has a rough surface that aids its integration into natural bone. It is available in a jar or delivery syringe for health care providers.

NeoGenix XP is one of two of Neoss’ regenerative solutions, which also features NeoGenix Allograft, a mineralized dental particulate made completely from bone.

NeoGenix XP’s addition rounds off the Woodland Hills-based company’s other offerings, such as an implant system, digital solutions and individual prosthetics.

“Being a strong partner to our customers has always been important and offering more in terms of total package solutions,” Dr. Robert Gottlander, Neoss’ chief executive, said in a statement. “NeoGenix XP is an important addition to this and strengthens not only the bone regeneration portfolio but will allow us to serve our customers even better.”

Neoss has had a busy fall with an educational partnership with the Washington Academy of General Dentistry. The program is conducted three days a month with more than 300 hours of hands-on practice for dentists.
