General Awards Criteria
- This awards program is open to CPAs working in public accounting, only. Nominees may be partners/employees of a firm or may be sole practitioners. You must be working full time as a CPA. Self-nominations are also encouraged.
- Nominees may work in any practice group (audit, tax, management consulting, etc.) but must hold a valid CPA certificate and be licensed to practice in the state of California.
- Nominees affiliated with a firm/practice located in the greater San Fernando Valley region are eligible for award consideration. Nominees affiliated with a firm/practice located outside the region are also eligible if the nominee spends a majority of time serving clients in the region. The eligible geographic region is described as through Glendale to the east; Lancaster/Santa Clarita to the north; through the Conejo Valley in the west and south to the Santa Monica Mountains
- Nominees must oversee annual billing of at least $1 M. Managing partners and or administrative executives are also eligible for nomination as long as they are full time accounting professionals overseeing annual billing of at least $1 M. NOTE to nominators: if you do not know this information, the Business Journal will confirm eligibility
- Nominees selected for award recognition would most likely be seasoned professionals with a minimum of ten years in the profession. We encourage multiple nominations per firm, however, only one nominee per firm will be selected for award recognition.
