Preview: Ventura Farmers Call New Law an Overreach

Ventura County’s new Wildlife Corridor Ordinance aims to protect the movement of wildlife by placing strict restrictions on fencing, lighting, construction and brush clearance in a zone of 163,000 acres. But farmers, businesses and property owners find the restrictions onerous, and the Ventura County Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business, or CoLAB, has sued the county over the ordinance.
