Three Chrysler dealerships in the San Fernando Valley have been chosen to close, according to legal documents related to the car maker’s bankruptcy case. In total, Chrysler will shutter 789 dealerships by June 9. Among those in California are Big Valley Chrysler Jeep in Van Nuys; Murphy and Shelby Dodge Inc., in San Fernando; and Star Chrysler Jeep in Glendale, the Daily News reported Dealers received notification May 14 whether they would remain open or be eliminated, the Daily News said. Chrysler spokeswoman Kathy Graham would not comment other than to say the company will notify dealers before speaking publicly. A hearing is scheduled for June 3 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York to determine whether to approve Chrysler’s motion, the Daily News reported.
