Burn Center Relocates to West Hills Hospital

The Grossman Burn Center will relocate West Hills Hospital & Medical Center on July 17, the hospital announced. The center, now called the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital, includes a Dedicated Burn Intensive Care Unit, new and larger hyperbaric chambers, hydrotherapy and special VDR-4 ventilators. It also provides opportunities for enhanced research and public education capabilities. “The professionals and executives at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating a truly world-class health care facility here in West Hills,” said Dr. Peter Grossman, co-director of the Grossman Burn Center. “With the recent openings of the hospital’s new Emergency Department and its new Intensive Care Unit, as well as the addition of the Grossman Burn Center, I think it is fair to say that they have met that commitment and then some,” he added. The burn center, formerly located in Sherman Oaks, provides acute and reconstructive burn care, rehabilitation and post-treatment emotional and psychological support. Other Grossman Burn Center facilities are located in Santa Ana, Bakersfield and Lafayette, La. Jessica Selva
