National Veterinary Associates Grows Hospital Network

Agoura Hills-based National Veterinary Associates announced Tuesday that Sage Veterinary Centers has decided to join NVA’s network of pet hospitals.Following a review of potential partners, Sage and Chicago Pacific Founders, Sage's investor, selected NVA Compassion-First as the new home for Sage’s 16 specialty and emergency vet medicine facilities in California, Alaska, Washington and Texas.Sage is headquartered in the Northern California city of Concord.NVA has a network of 1,150 independently managed veterinary hospitals and pet resorts with facilities in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Sage’s facilities will join NVA's existing 85 Compassion-First specialty, emergency and surgical hospitals.“We are thrilled to welcome the Sage team and their founding doctors to the NVA Compassion-First family,” Greg Hartmann, chief executive of NVA, said in a statement. “This combination marks an important step towards our vision to build the leading global specialty and emergency veterinary hospital group affording veterinarians the opportunity to collaborate and advance medical capability.”
