Sun Air Jets Partners With Justin Turner

Sun Air Jets has become a partner of the Justin Turner Foundation and supported last month its largest annual fundraiser.

The Camarillo charter and aircraft management company also recently marked its 20th anniversary at its fixed-base operation.

Founded in 2016 by Los Angeles Dodger third baseman Justin Turner, the foundation supports homeless veterans, children battling life-threatening medical conditions and youth baseball organizations.

The 6th Annual Justin Turner Golf Classic took place on Feb. 7 at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks. Turner golfed alongside his teammates, who included Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts, as well as former Dodgers Albert Pujols, Andre Ethier, Shawn Green and Eric Karros.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to welcome our supporters and friends for a memorable day in support of what’s dearest to us, our charitable work in the city we love,” Turner said in a statement.

Sun Air President Brian Counsil said that the company was pleased to partner with the foundation and VaynerSports (an athlete representation and brand marketing sports agency based in New York) in raising needed funds for worthy charities.

“Everyone that we worked with for the fundraising events was fabulous,” Counsil said in a statement. “Their organizational efforts and commitment to raising funds from sponsors, donors and friends was well rewarded by substantial contributions.”

Starting in January 2002 as just a fixed-base operator, the company has grown to more than 100 employees in multiple locations, including at Van Nuys Airport.
