Aviation David C. Miller has been named Burbank Airport’s director of administrative services, overseeing a budget of $68 million. Miller will be responsible for business affairs, including purchasing, budgeting and accounting at the airport, which serves 4.7 million passengers a year. He previously worked as general manager of Mercury Air Center, which caters to the general aviation community at Burbank Airport. The Glendale City Council has reappointed its three representatives to Burbank Airport’s governing board. Renamed to the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority Commission were Carl Meseck, Gerald Briggs and Carl Povilaitis. Meseck has served on the nine-member board since 1977; Briggs and Povilaitis were appointed in 1997 and 1999, respectively. The commissioners serve four-year terms. E-Commerce William G. Yuan has assumed the duties of national sales director for CyberCenters. Yuan has also resigned as a member of the board of directors of inChorus.com and has been replaced by Gil Blumenthal. inChorus.com has named Thomas “Bud” Yoakum to replace Yuan as president and chief executive officer. Yoakum is currently serving on the board of directors and brings to the position a history of senior management and executive responsibilities, particularly his executive background with Dun & Bradstreet, Farmers Insurance Group and the aerospace industry. Entertainment Cindy Clark has been named vice president of production for Dick Clark Productions Inc. She was previously director of development and a producer for the company. Clark currently is co-producer of the primetime dramatic anthology series, “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction,” for the Fox Network. She also served as producer for both episodes of “Challenge of the Child Geniuses” children’s academic tournaments, also produced for Fox. Prior to joining Dick Clark Productions, Clark produced several feature films and has several television special and series production credits, including programming for CBS, FX, The Disney Channel and American Movie Classics. Dagmar Dunlevy was elected president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for the 2001-2002 year at the annual election meeting. A member of the HFPA for 19 years, Dunlevy is a correspondent for Canada’s Flare (Rogers Media Group) and Germany’s Neue Woche (Burda Media Group). Lorenzo Soria was re-elected vice president and Philip Berk and Erkki Kanto were re-elected treasurer and executive secretary, respectively. The new board of directors is composed of Mahfouz Doss (chairman), Yoram Kahana, Lawrie Masterson, Scott Orlin, Mira Panajotovic and Helmut Voss (alternate). Foods Westlake Village-based Dole Food Co. Inc. announced that Scott Greenwood has been promoted to the position of president – Dole Fresh Flowers. Greenwood joined Dole in 1989 and was most recently vice president of sales and marketing for Dole Packaged Foods North America. He previously held positions with General Mills and Unilever’s T.J. Lipton. As president of Dole Fresh Flowers, Greenwood will report to Peter M. Nolan, president of Dole’s North America Operations. Lorenzo de la Torre will continue with the company in an executive position as a special advisor for the Flower Division and its related activities. Health Care Sherman Oaks-based HemaCare Corp. announced the appointment of Stephen P. Wallace to its board of directors and the resignation of Charles R. Schwab Jr., a board member since December 1997. Since 1998, Wallace has been executive vice president and chief operating officer of Catellus Development Corp., a real estate company. Wallace was Catellus’ chief financial officer from 1995 to 1998. Marketing/Public Relations Karen Kukurin has been appointed director of client services for Cooper Communications, Inc. Kukurin has more than 25 years’ experience in public relations and marketing and has worked in the corporate arena and the non-profit sector, as well as on the state and federal levels of government. She headed her own Beverly Hills-based P.R. firm and has created programs for Baskin-Robbins, Merle Norman Cosmetics and Mervyn’s of California. Sales Eric Powers, director of NAI Capital Commercial’s corporate services division, announced that Bennard Gillison has joined as an associate. Prior to joining NAI Capital Commercial, Gillison was a corporate product manager with Virco Manufacturing Corp. in Torrance. He has also held management positions with Advance Manufacturing, Kimball International and Xerox. In his new position, Gillison will work with corporate clients on the sale and leasing of commercial, industrial and retail space. Pamela Raley has been promoted to vice president, advertising and sponsorship sales for Disney Online, announced Ken Goldstein, executive vice president and managing director at Disney Online. In her new role, Raley will be responsible for establishing and implementing all sales policies and strategies for Disney Online, part of the Walt Disney Internet Group. Raley will head a sales team with offices in New York, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco, developing advertising and sponsorship partnerships for Disney.com and Family.com.
