PR Agencies Share Skills

Ignite Strategic Communications has formed a creative collaboration with Origin Point.

Ignite, a North Hollywood public relations and content creation firm for the entertainment industry, and Origin Point in Los Angeles will expand each company’s capacity for connecting businesses, industry creatives and technical experts who elevate what’s possible in entertainment, they said in a release.

Andrea Dondanville, executive producer at Origin Point, said the company has worked closely with Ignite on a number of projects and sees the collaboration as a natural progression of that prior relationship.

“We are excited to leverage their unparalleled skills in writing, media relations and communications strategy for our clients’ success,” Dondanville said in a statement.

Origin Point started as the in-house production company at RED Digital Cinema and then expanded to work with a variety of leading brands. In 2019, it was spun off into a separate company. Its services run the gamut from story development through pre-production, production and post, the company said in its release.

Ignite was founded by Christine Purse in early 2005. Prior to that she had been head of marketing and communications for LaserPacific Media Corp., a Burbank post-production technology company serving producers in Hollywood. It was later sold to Technicolor and had its name changed.

Purse said she and her colleagues at Ignite have had a unique opportunity to tell the story of a revolutionary time in the art and technology of storytelling and that dynamic is far from over.

“I know that the talent, vision and skillful execution from the team at Origin Point will help our clients realize their vision and goals,” Purse said in a statement. “We are delighted to embark on this journey together and are looking forward to doing great work together.”
