Artificial intelligence firm Ferret in Calabasas has raised $4 million in a seed round of investment.

The company makes a ‘relationship intelligence’ platform that analyzes risk and opportunity for investments and other strategic decisions.

The system uses NominoData's proprietary risk management data, which was previously only available to the financial industry. It enables decision-makers to identify risky investments, vendors, partners and customers, as examples.

The funding round included more than 30 investors, including Lanyon Advisory and Paul Grinberg, chairman of the Axos Bank.
