IMT Opens Van Nuys Multifamily

IMT 6500, the latest residential complex developed under the IMT Residential brand by Sherman Oaks-based multifamily developer IMT Capital, celebrated its grand opening Sept. 30 in Van Nuys with a Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The IMT Residential website describes the 160-unit IMT 6500 as “a welcoming oasis in the middle of L.A.’s bustling city life.”

The contemporary building, designed by Woodland Hills-based Kamran Tabrizi Architect & Associates, also features a courtyard, backyard and a gym.

Apartments, which have keyless access, come with fully equipped kitchens featuring stainless steel appliances and open floor plans.

One-bedroom apartments, which start at $2,395, span 714 to 791 square feet; two-bedroom floor plans, which range from 1,153 to 1,174 square feet, begin at $3,230.

The apartment complex is named after its 6500 N. Sepulveda Blvd. address. Construction began in early 2018 on the 1.2-acre site, previously occupied by the Voyager Motor Inn.

Among the IMT senior management in attendance at the opening: Financial Asset Manager Abraham Issa; Vice President of Construction Adam Thomas; Revenue Manager John Huynh; Marketing Manager Rachel Scher; Regional Vice President of Operations Randa Issa; and Associate Vice President of Marketing Thanh Dang.

Also in attendance: Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber President Nancy Hoffman Vanyek and Board Chair Steve Rydin; Osvaldo Ramirez, field representative for Rep. Tony Cardenas; and Michelle Vergara, East Valley representative for L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti.

IMT is also working to redevelop the former Sunkist headquarters in Sherman Oaks, which it bought from the cooperative in 2013.
