According to collaboration terms, Mechanix becomes the “exclusive workwear licensee” for Clim8’s technology this year. Users of the gloves, made in a small batch manufacturing run, will be able to change the temperature in their Mechanix gloves through a phone application, the Valencia company said.
The new product’s full availability will be announced later this year.
“Mechanix Wear is dedicated to working with partners who can take our best-in-class hand protection and further its performance and versatility to those on the front lines,” Michael Hale, chief executive of Mechanix, said in a statement. “This collaboration with Clim8 will allow us to incorporate unique and innovative thermo-technology to Mechanix Wear’s existing gloves while expanding our product offerings to best address cold weather conditions and environments.”
Added Clim8 Chief Executive Florian Miguet: “Through our partnership with Mechanix Wear, we’re able to collaborate with a proven leader in hand protection and technology.”
