Princess Cruises has extended its pause of operations in Australia and New Zealand through May 31 of next year.The Santa Clarita cruise line said in a statement Wednesday the delay is “due to the uncertainty about when international travel restrictions might be lifted.”Earlier this month, parent company Carnival Corp. canceled five cruises scheduled to depart from Sydney, Australia in January and February 2021. Until now, it hadn’t officially announced a revised timeline for restarting operations in the region.Outside of Australia and New Zealand, Princess is scheduled to resume operations in April. Cunard Line, another Carnival subsidiary based in Santa Clarita, plans to resume sailing in March.
