HealthCare Partners Transition to Optum Network

HealthCare Partners has begun its transition to the Optum network in the San Fernando Valley, Optum said on Wednesday. HealthCare Partners, with corporate offices in El Segundo, told patients about the acquisition in May. Minnesota-based Optum bought DaVita Medical Group, which owns HealthCare Partners, in June of last year for $4.3 billion. With the addition of HealthCare Partners, Optum’s network serves 1.4 million patients across Southern California; HealthCare has served the region for 30 years. Providers, clinic locations, health insurance plans and copays are not affected by the transition, HealthCare Partners told its patients. “Together as one company, Optum will continue to provide the same high-quality, great care, with the same health care professionals the region has come to know and who have ties to the community,” a representative for Optum said.
