Music Video Stream From Loop Media

Loop Media Inc. announced late last month a new partnership with Plex, a popular streaming media platform. The Glendale short form video distributor will make 19 of its curated music video channels available via Plex Live TV, offering viewers access to an expansive library of music videos from a variety of genres, including country, hip hop, R&B and top charting singles. Loop Media monetizes its video distribution service through subscriptions and advertising and has curated a library of 500,000 music videos plus film, television and game trailers that it makes available to restaurants, bars, casinos, cruise ships and other public venues. Plex, in Los Gatos, will add Loop’s lifestyle content over the rest of the year. Loop Media Chief Executive Jon Niermann said the company was excited to kick off its work with Plex and offer even more audiences across the globe access to its expanding music video library. “Whether a customer wants to hear a specific genre of music or wants to see what’s charting this week, Loop provides fans with music videos for every occasion,” Niermann said in a statement. “Through our partnership with Plex, we look forward to furthering our reach and offering consumers everywhere access to a constant stream of innovative short-form content.” This is the fourth partnership deal that Loop has signed this year. In February, the company announced it had joined with Jukin Media Inc., the Los Angeles owner and operator of a portfolio of digital video properties that reach 190 million followers across social media. The next month was the news about it partnering with Pac 12 Network, in San Francisco, to have it provide game previews, highlights, recaps, postgame reports, interviews with student-athletes and more for all its universities’ sports teams for Loop to distribute. And in late May, came the announcement that Loop had joined forces with Drone TV, a Minnesota-based streaming channel with a curated collection of videos shot using unmanned aircraft from first person-view and drone racing films to aerial videos of music festivals. Niermann co-founded Loop Media in 2016 with Shawn Driscoll who serves as head of investor relations. The publicly traded company is on the over-the-counter market under the ticker symbol LPTV with a market cap of $9.9 million. In addition to the content, Loop also provides digital signage and a scheduling component so that a venue can promote, say, live music or menu specials in between the videos. The company provides content to about 4,000 venues, including stores, tattoo parlors, nail salons, bowling alleys and university campuses. The bulk of its users are bars and restaurants, including national chains such as Hard Rock Café. Loop offers its small player for less than $100.
