Coinstar Kiosks to Display Provision Holographs

Provision Interactive Technologies Inc. will incorporate its 3D holographic displays into kiosks operated by Coinstar LLC. The Chatsworth company will begin its roll out with Coinstar, in Bellevue, Wash., on 300 kiosks before the end of the year. Coinstar will use Provision’s holographs to project advertiser messages from the top of the kiosk as well as offering customers savings on consumer products from the Provision coupon platform. Provision Chief Executive Mark Leonard said the partnership provides an opportunity for advertisers to leverage Coinstar’s footprint at grocery stores and big-box retailers across the U.S. “This agreement represents a pivotal milestone for our company and validates the applicability of our technology across new retail settings,” Leonard said in a prepared statement. Shares in Provision (PVHO) closed up Friday a fraction of a cent, or more than 15 percent, to 5 cents on the over-the-counter market.
