Camarillo Game Publisher Acquired

Social game developer Zynga Inc. has acquired Camarillo publisher Zindagi Games. Details of the transaction between Zindagi and Zynga, in San Francisco, were not disclosed. Zynga announced the acquisition in its Feb. 10 quarterly earnings statement. Zindagi, founded by Umrao Mayer and George Simmons, has released five titles, including puzzle matching mobile games Crazy Kitchen and Yummy Gummy, and motion-controlled PlayStation Move games Sports Champions and Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest. Publicly traded Zynga, which had revenue of $765 million last year, is the developer of popular social media games that include Farmville, Words with Friends, Mafia Wars and Zynga Poker.
