Simi Valley Hospital Relocates Child Center

Simi Valley Hospital announced Tuesday that it will move its Child Development Center to a new location at 3015 N. Sycamore Drive, across the street from the main hospital. The move will take place during the week of Jan. 4 through Jan. 8, during which the center will not accept patients. The new 15,000 sq. ft. facility, which includes five gyms and $25,000 in new equipment, is scheduled to open Jan. 11 at 8 a.m. Currently, the center is located at 1900 E. Los Angeles Ave. Its 50 plus employees care for over 700 children per week with an average of 60 new patients entering the program every month. “This has been an ever-evolving program that expands to meet the needs of our community with new technologies and the best practices of programs from all over the country,” Robin Millar, director of adult and pediatric therapies at Simi Valley Hospital and founder of the Child Development Center, said in a statement. “We know there’s not just one way to approach every child, so we refine and change what we do as new approaches demonstrate successes for our children.”
