Salem Media Group announced Monday it will retain radio talk show host Michael Gallagher through the end of 2018. Gallagher’s conservative political and breaking news show launched nationally on 12 radio stations in 1998. Today, the show is syndicated on more than 300 stations and features regularly scheduled interviews with public figures including U.S. Sen. John McCain, Vice President Dick Cheney and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. “After 15 years with Salem, I’m still amazed at how fortunate I am to have a radio home at this amazing company,” said Gallagher in a statement. “I’m ecstatic and humbled to be continuing for at least another three years with this world-class organization.” Salem Media is a conservative and Christian media company in Camarillo that owns and operates 117 local radio stations. Shares closed down 36 cent or 7 percent to $4.84 on the Nasdaq.
