Burn Center Expands Into Midwest

Grossman Burn Center, one of the country’s largest plastic surgery-based burn practices, is opening a Midwest location in the fall, marking the company’s second collaboration with Hospital Corp. of America. The West Hills medical provider said that the facility will open Oct. 1 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. “The Grossman Burn Center at Research Medical Center” will feature eight beds and an outpatient clinic. In addition, it will provide acute and reconstructive surgical care services. Burn victims in Kansas City’s greater metropolitan area and those that live within a 150 mile area will be served by the center. Regional patients will come from eight Midwestern hospitals that are run by the Hospital Corp. of America, headquartered in Nashville. Grossman Burn Center also operates treatment facilities in central California and Arizona. Expansion into the Midwest is a part of the company’s plan to provide burn care options to new U.S. markets via affiliations with local hospitals.
