Allegiant Air Fleet to Get Row 44 VOD Service

In-flight Wi-Fi provider Row 44 announced today that it will soon be implementing its streaming video on demand technology in Allegiant Air’s fleet of 757s. The Westlake Village-based company provides customers with either full satellite interconnectivity or onboard wireless inflight video streaming, which Allegiant has chosen. “Allegiant has proven adept at pioneering and delivering innovative solutions in the travel marketplace,” said Travis Christ, chief marketing and sales officer for Row 44, in a prepared statement. “Allegiant is a low cost specialist when it comes to linking leisure travelers to popular destinations, and we look forward to complementing their brand with a world-class VOD entertainment experience.” Passengers on the newly-equipped planes, which primarily shuttle passengers between Hawaii and the mainland, will be able to use their own devices to access movies, TV shows, music, games and a flight map. Row 44 surpassed 350 installations of its technology in September. Kelly Goff
