Row 44 Expanding into Las Vegas with New Hire

The former chief executive for Vegas.com has joined airline broadband Internet provider Row 44 Inc. as chief commercial officer and will open the company’s new Las Vegas office. Lefkowitz will be responsible for marketing and branding the services of the Westlake Village company and develop new product strategies for Row 44 and the company’s airline partners around the world. He will also secure content partnerships for Row 44’s in-flight menu of broadband services such as on-demand movies, live television, e-commerce and destination services, which are available to all Wi-Fi enabled passengers, even those who do not pay for full web access. Each airline will be able to brand and name the service. Lefkowitz’s track record in multiple industry segments along with his vision, experience and knowledge will provide Row 44’s customer airlines with the means to revolutionize the services and facilities available to their passengers, said Row 44 CEO John Guidon. “He represents the next phase in the growth of our business,” Guidon said. During his nine-year tenure as president and CEO of VEGAS.com , the site for city hospitality and information grew to receive more than 2.5 million Internet visitors a month and describes itself as the “largest city destination travel website in the world.” The new Las Vegas office will be Row 44’s fourth location. The others include a Westlake Village headquarters, a Chicago-area technical facility and a business development and sales office in London.
